Parental involvement is critical in the learning development of the students. I will encourage the parents to be very active in their child’s education. Parental involvement is extremely important for children to succeed in school. I will communicate with parents through the use of weekly take home folders as well as email. I will have a class blog that will update the parents constantly with what is going on in our class. Along with the email and blog, I will send home a weekly newsletter in the take home folder for those that do not have access to a computer. The newsletter will include tips to help your child with reading and math as well we many other useful tips with encouraging your children in school. I will send home a sheet for the parent to sign each night showing how long the child spends reading. Parents will also be invited to read aloud to the class if they would like.
